V&FAA Stands for Vaughn and Friends Alumni Association. The figure below the center "A" is a native American symbol for everlasting or forever and the crossed arrows represent friendship. The colors are blue and gold because they are the colors of Vaughn High School, which is where we began. It is contained in a circle that has no beginning and no end to further enhance the idea of "forever". We are a circle of friends, ever expanding to accommodate our growing membership and their special needs. We chose native American symbols rather than some ancient European symbols because native Americans had a philosophy of inclusive community that better coincides with our own.
On Saturday, November `18, 2017 we will be going to Habetller Bowling Alley to play two games and have lunch together.
The bowling alley is located at: 5250 N. Northwast Highway in Chicago. Please be there by 11:45 A.M. so that we can start at 12:00 noon. Following the two games, we will have lunch there. We should be finished by 3:00 P.M. Please let me know if you will be coming because I need to know how many we will have before that date. Contact me on Facebook.
Each member will pay $5.00 for one game plus $4.00 for shoes and have enough money for lunch. The Alumni Association will pay the cost of the second game. If you have not paid your dues, you will be required to pay an additional $5.00 to cover the cost of the second game. That would be $14.00 plus lunch money. If you have paid your dues, it will cost $9.00 plus lunch money.
Hope to see all of you there!
